  1. 5 areas of health! By James, Paul, Sophie & Megan! (St Vincent's Primary 7 health committee!)

  2. 5 areas of Health • The 5 areas of health are: • Healthy eating • Fitness • Emotional health • Sleep • Hygiene

  3. Fitness • Fitness is very important because it helps you to stay fit and healthy! • If you don’t do fitness then you may get heart problems!

  4. Sleep • When you go to your bed you should get a good nights sleep for at least 9 hours! • This is very important because if you don’t get enough sleep you will be tired, grumpy and moody and you wont be able to concentrate on school work! • You also won’t be able to do sports like football as you will be far too tired to join in!

  5. Healthy eating • Fruit and veg is healthy but not everyone enjoys it. • You can have a try of the different fruit and vegetables though! • The survey around the classes gives us a better idea of the fruit and vegetables St. Vincent’s pupils like!

  6. HYGIENE • What is hygiene? Hygiene is that you have to keep yourself clean! You should have a shower at least every 2 days! But when you get to primary 6 and 7 you should have a shower every day!!!!! It also means that you should wash your hands before you eat and after you do the toilet! In St Vincent's hygiene is a very important issue

  7. Emotional Health • What is emotional health? • Emotional Health is very important too. • In emotional health there is high emotions and low emotions • High emotions is positive feelings like: fun, friendly, happy, relaxed etc • Low emotions is negative feelings like: upset, sad, withdrawn, angry, guilty, tearful

  8. Thank You • After reading this power point we (James, Sophie, Paul and Megan) hope that you will take on these points that we have made for you all! by Sophie Stewart, James Cook, Paul McNamara and Megan Conlan
