  2. ABOUT Irina and Alexander Mikhailovich Zverev were professional tennis players from the Soviet Union. Their career ranking raised to World Number 4 and 175 respectively during the 1990s. Irina was famous for her single-handed backhand. They flew down from the Soviet Union to Germany to take part in a tennis tournament. They were offered jobs at the Uhlenhorster Hockey Club in Hamburg and the landed staying in Hamburg forever. They got married and gave birth to two tennis players, Mischa and Alexander “Sascha” Zverev. Sascha began playing tennis one year and five months old. As a child, he would refuse to leave the tennis court until he wins the match. His mother is credited for building a strong foundation over his backhand. He focussed on tennis after his early-round loss at a high-level international junior tournament in Florida. At the age of 20, Alexander Zverev became the youngest player to break into the top 20 rankings.

  4. ENDORSEMENTS Alexander Zverev gets his tennis rackets sponsored from Head. He uses their rackets when he was 5-years-old. He is the brand ambassador for Richard Mille, luxury Swiss watch brand. He is endorsing the automobile firm, Peugeot. He wears Adidas and also advertises it. Also the Italian fashion brand Z Zegna have persuaded Zverev to be their ambassador.

  5. ON-COURT ACHIEVEMENTS Alexander Zverev had never achieved an ATP match but however, he reached the last four at International German Open at the age of 17. In 2016 Halle Open semi-finals, he defeated Federer and ended his streak of ten consecutive appearances in the final. He won his first career ATP title at the St. Petersburg Open. In 2017 he rose to the ranking of World Number 3 remarking the highest position in his career. Zverev held the 2018 ATP World Tour Finals crown by defeating Federer and Djokovic in the semifinals and finals respectively. Also in 2018, he reached the quarters at the French Open.
