A VIRTUAL ORGANISATION EVALUATING • A national swedishcooperation – no university has all the knowledge. • During a fall admission round – May and June – VO is staffed by 40 to 50 evaluation officers (approx. 20 full time jobs) seated at VHS and up to 15 different universities and university colleges. • Task, whileevaluating in accordance to mutuallyagreedguidelines : • Check authenticity • Check comparability with qualificationrequirements – i.eswedisheducation system • and therebyenable the swedish HEI to decideif a student is eligbile, how to rank the student and whether grant him/heradmission or not. QUALIFICATION ASSESSMENT GROUP Appointed by The Association of Swedish HigherEducation. 12 members – 2 VHS and 10 representing different HEI Task – by mutualagreementdecide and recommendguidelines for assessingeligibility and comparablegrades. Three handbooks - Swedish, foreignpre-uni, foreignacademiccredentials Almost all decisions by HEI concerningeligibility and ranking follow the recommendations of the group. Benefits students and HEI.
