  3. Periodic Table Info About Neon • Neon’s symbol on the periodic table is NE • Atomic Mass: 20 • Atomic Number: 10 • Protons& Electrons: 10 • Neutrons: 10

  4. Physical Properties Of Neon • Color: colorless • Neon is a gas and gases don’t have a texture • Boiling point: -246.08 °C • Freezing point: -245.95 °C • Melting point: -258.59 °C

  5. Neon is a Noble Gas • Neon is a noble gas and that means that it is a VERYrare element.

  6. Where Is Neon Found In Nature? • Neon is found in the atmosphere to the extent of 1 part in 65,000 of air • “It is obtained by liquefaction of air and separated from the other gases by fractional distillation” –WebElements.com

  7. Neon is used for a number of things we use or would like to use in everyday life: • Making advertising signs • Used to make TV tubes • Neon is used to make gas lasers • Liquid neon is a very powerful refrigerant it is forty times more refrigerating capacity than liquid helium, and is coincidently less expensive than helium as well. • Used for making some epic lamps

  8. Fun Facts! • Neon’s group in the periodic table is 18 and the period in the periodic table is 2 • Classification: non-metallic • Standard State: gas at 298K • In a vacuum discharge tube neon glows reddish orange • Neon is colorless and odorless

  9. Neon Is Cool

  10. YOU SHOULD BUY NEON BECAUSE YOU COULD MAKE SOME COOL SIGNS FOR YOUR ROOM. OR MAKE A GAS LASER. YOU COULD SELL TV TUBES, SO PEOPLE WOULDN’T HAVE TO BUY NEW TVS.. JUST A TUBE FROM YOU. YOU COULD REFRIGERATE ANYTHING FOR A REALLY CHEAP COST BECAUSE IT’S CHEAPER THAN ANY OTHER REFRIGERANT. NEON IS RARE YOU SHOULD BUY IT WHILE IT’S CHEAP, THEN WAIT FOR THE PRICE TO GO UP TO SELL IT. $$$$$
