  2. Water Pollution is : Pollution in the lakes, oceans, rivers, and seas. • Lots of things cause water pollution like businesses, homes, cars, and farms. • Businesses clear out lands that can lead to erosion of soil to the river, farms pollute because of the herbicides and pesticides which are toxic pollutants, fertilizers in your garden may wash out to the oceans for homes, and finally cars. Cars pollute by leaks of oil and anti-freeze that wash out to the ocean. • Trash on the streets also cause this because it leads to the drainpipe and out to the ocean. • The worst is oil spills.

  3. Water pollution kills many fish and sea animals in the ocean. • Penguins or seagulls get their heads stuck on the soda plastic and choke and eventually die. • A seal might eat a plastic bag and eventually suffocate. • Many animals are washed up on beaches because of the pollution. • It also affects the food chain. if one animal becomes extinct many animals will die too. • It doesn't just affect animals it affects humans. Like sushi for ex. the sushi could be contaminated and people may get a disease if eaten. • Also if humans drink the water. We also can't swim in those infected waters. • Tribes in different places around the world depend on fish to survive. • Water pollution also affects the ecosystem in many ways.

  4. Over 70% of these people who lack sanitation, or 1.8 billion people, live in Asia. • Everyday, 2 million tons of sewage and industrial and agricultural waste are discharged into the world’s water.

  5. One popular agency out there is called Heal the Bay.. • They do lots of beach clean-ups and their mission is to stop or maybe decrease the amount of water pollution.

  6. Don’t throw chemicals like paints or oils or trash down your toilet. • Don’t use water when you don’t need it. • Don’t use too much pesticides and fertilizers. • And DON’T THROW TRASH IN LAKES, RIVERS, AND OCEANS.
