  2. Start Menu • The start menu is a combination of customized pinned programs and recently opened programs • Hovering over an item opens the program’s jump list • Search results pop up immediately once text is entered into the search Window (and results are instantly sorted by category!)

  3. Taskbar • Pin programs to the task bar for easy access • Hover over open programs to see thumbnail views of open windows • Right click on pinned and open programs to view the jump list Thumbnail preview Right click to pin/unpin programs

  4. Snap • While snap is great for resizing windows to half screen, that is not the only thing it does! • Snap a window to the top edge of your desktop to maximize it.

Peek and Shake • Peek gives you the power of X-ray vision, so you can peer past all your open windows straight to the Windows 7 desktop • Simply roll over the small box on the far right edge of the taskbar—and watch open windows instantly turn transparent, revealing all your hidden icons and gadgets • Ever need to cut through a cluttered desktop and quickly focus on a single window? Just click a pane and give your mouse a shake. Voila! Every open window except that one instantly disappears. Jiggle again—and your windows are back

  9. In Document Photo Editing As soon as you insert a photo into any Office 2010 program, a new tab appears. This ‘format’ tab opens to a full ribbon with all of the photo editing capabilities from Windows Live Photo Gallery.

  10. In Document Video Editing As soon as you insert a video into any Office 2010 program, two new tabs appear. The format and video playback tabs open to full ribbons where you can edit and play video clips.
