  2. The professor studied the studied his setup for the one last time. Satisfied, he placed his instrument near his head and drew out a memory of his childhood. As his colleagues watched with bated breath, he put it in the transmitter on his desk and watch it gradually disappear.

  3. 6000 miles away, Sheila was in a special school for the nervously glancing at the receiver. A white liquid started to rise through the receiver. She collected it carefully and filled it in a flask. She rose and moved towards Abu, who was born deaf. Abu received the flask and drank it. For a while, his face remained expressionless and then he smiled. He heard a human voice for the first time in his life. The first memory transfer experiment was successful.

  4. 5000 miles away, a soldier stood at his post, staring haughtily at his counterpart across the border. The night was much colder than usual. He was dressed well, with his uniform, gun and his headgear. The headgear was a recent invention, designed to project the wearers thoughts and imbibe them into anyone he chose. He used it to intimidate his opponent. He saw the man day in and day out. Everyday was a power struggle each one vying to intimidate the other. A snowstorm enveloped them. He huddled together looking for warmth. He saw the other man doing the same. Sensing an opportunity, he turned on the headgear and stared at him. The man turned at met his gaze. A weird sensation passed through him gale of wind just blew past . For the first time in many years, he felt a connection with his enemy.

  5. The soldier drew back his seat and started to relax as the plane took off Four years had passed since that day at the mountain but the thought continued to haunt him. He had left the army and spent the years seeking for answers. He was on his way to Tibet. Tibet, he was told, was the land of knowledge. Many had attained enlightenment there. A airhostess smiled at him offering a drink. It was smooth, pearl white and shimmering at its surface. “What’s it?”, he asked. “Thoughts of the people of Tibet” . He drank it and a strange feeling of calm took over him. He slept.

  6. He woke up as the plane landed. He took his bags to reached the airport. The airport was crowded. People were rushing to catch their flights. Strangely, everyone seems to smile at him and know him intimately Instinctively, he reached out for his headgear. He looked at them as his thoughts poured out and touched them. They were a part of him and he was a part of them. He felt truly connected. The human had become post human.
