  3. A “Code of Ethics” for Reviewers • “Do unto others …” • Treat with same care as your own work • FIRST, point out positives • What is interesting, useful • Then point how material could be clearer, presented more effectively • Be clear, specific, polite re: criticisms

  4. A “Code of Ethics” for Reviewers • Share references for works they may have missed • Withdraw from reviewing if you don’t have necessary background

  5. Helpful Tips • Write legibly • Use MS-Word Track Changes if author is comfortable with it • Feel free to meet with each other
