  3. KANPUR - - - - -BOD Population *  Population includes all urban population upstream of Kanpur falling on Ganga

  4. ALLAHABAD - - - - -BOD Population *  Population includes all urban population upstream of Allahabad falling on Ganga and its major tributaries.

  5. VARANASI - - - - -BOD Population STANDARD ( 3 mg/l or less) *  Population includes all urban population upstream of Varanasi falling on Ganga and its major tributaries

  6. PATNA - - - - -BOD Population *  Population includes all urban population upstream of Patna falling on Ganga and its major tributaries
