  1. Krishna is all pervading SrimadBhagavatam Canto 1 Chapter 2 Text 30-34

  2. Text 30 sa evedaṁ sasarjāgrebhagavān ātma-māyayāsad-asad-rūpayā cāsauguṇamayāguṇo vibhuḥ In the beginning of the material creation, that Absolute Personality of Godhead [Vāsudeva], in His transcendental position, created the energies of cause and effect by His own internal energy.

  3. Lord of the Universe • The position of the Lord is always transcendental because the causal and effectual energies required for the creation of the material world were also created by Him. • He is unaffected by the qualities of the material modes. • His existence, form, activities and paraphernalia all existed before the material creation.

  4. Text 31 tayā vilasiteṣv eṣuguṇeṣu guṇavān ivaantaḥ-praviṣṭa ābhātivijñānena vijṛmbhitaḥ After creating the material substance, the Lord [Vāsudeva] expands Himself and enters into it. And although He is within the material modes of nature and appears to be; one of the created beings, He is always fully enlightened in His transcendental position.

  5. Conditioned living entities, who are unfit for the spiritual kingdom, are strewn within the material world to enjoy matter to the fullest extent. • As Paramātmā and eternal friend, accompanies the living entities to guide them in their material enjoyment and to become witness to all activities. • While the living entities enjoy the material conditions, the Lord maintains His transcendental position without being affected by the material atmosphere. • In the Vedic literatures (śruti) it is said that there are two birds in one tree.

  6. Text 32 yathā hy avahito vahnirdāruṣv ekaḥ sva-yoniṣunāneva bhāti viśvātmābhūteṣu ca tathā pumān The Lord, as Supersoul, pervades all things, just as fire permeates wood, and so He appears to be of many varieties, though He is the absolute one without a second.

  7. Lord Vasudeva, by one of his plenary expansion exits even in the atomic energy. • One can perceive the manifestation of the Paramātmā feature of the Lord by proper spiritual culture. • The Lord can be realized through the aural reception of the transcendental message, and that is the only way to experience the transcendental subject. • The divine consciousness of man can be kindled by another divine grace, the spiritual master. • A human being can hear properly, whereas an animal cannot. This is the difference between animality and humanity.

  8. Text 33 asau guṇamayair bhāvairbhūta-sūkṣmendriyātmabhiḥsva-nirmiteṣu nirviṣṭobhuṅkte bhūteṣu tad-guṇān The Supersoul enters into the bodies of the created beings who are influenced by the modes of material nature and causes them to enjoy the effects of these modes by the subtle mind.

  9. The gross material body is based on the conditions of the subtle mind, and the senses are created according to the desire of the living being. • The Lord as Paramātmā helps the living being to get material happiness because the living being is helpless in all respects in obtaining what he desires. • The living beings in all varieties of bodies are the sons of Lord. • The sufferings and enjoyments of the sons are indirectly the sufferings and enjoyments of the father. • He is not directly affected by the suffering and enjoyment of the sons. • As a Paramatma he always tries to convert living beings towards real happiness.

  10. Text 34 bhāvayaty eṣa sattvenalokān vai loka-bhāvanaḥlīlāvatārānuratodeva-tiryaṅ-narādiṣu Thus the Lord of the universes maintains all planets inhabited by demigods, men and lower animals. Assuming the roles of incarnations, He performs pastimes to reclaim those in the mode of pure goodness.

  11. There are innumerable material universes and innumerable grades of living entities in each of them. • Lord incarnates in each and every type of living society present in each and every universe. • He does not change his original position, he appears to be differently manifested according to the time, circumstances and society. • His pastimes are to create the desire to go back to Godhead. • Sometimes He incarnates Himself or empowers a suitable living being to act for Him. The purpose is same in both cases. • Such incarnations are not limited within human society, even demigods are reminded in this way.
