NAMI NC Bulletin Boards • Each NAMI NC Affiliate has a Bulletin Board located on the NAMI NC website • Get to it through the Affiliates tab on the left hand side of the website • Passwords • If you do not have your password, contact Jennifer Rothman at jrothman@naminc.org or 800-451-9682 • Keep them updated!

NAMI on Campus • What do you need to start a NAMI on Campus? • A faculty advisor • AT LEAST 5 dedicated students • Support from NAMI Local Affiliate • Support from NAMI State Office • Support from NAMI National If you would like to start a NAMI on Campus at your local college, please contact Jennifer Rothman at jrothman@naminc.org or 800-451-9682

  8. NAMI Membership Membership Types Individual/Family ($35) Professional ($50) Open Door ($3) Dues Period: January 1 – December 31 If join January 1 – June 30 (end of that year – 2009) If join July 1 – December 31 (end of following year – 2010)

  11. Guidelines • Identity Guidelines – relates to branding and the image of NAMI • Style Guide – relates to language and how we talk about mental illness and those who are living with mental illness • Both can be downloaded at www.nami.org – sign in and search for “logo”

  12. Branding • Branding is the look, feel, sound, and experience • Identity is the outward expression of the brand, including its name and visual appearance. • The brand's identity is its fundamental means of recognition To become a household name, people have to recognize us, know us, trust us.

  15. Identity Guidelines • NAMI National has made a logo for each Affiliate – can download a variety of file types at www.nami.org • Important to use properly • Use primary NAMI Colors: Reflex blue and yellow or gold • Use primary fonts – Berkley and Franklin Gothic

Brochures/Marketing Materials • Two main sources for Brochure/Marketing Materials • NAMI North Carolina brochures (50 each free from NAMI NC) • NAMI overview/membership – “We are NAMI” • Disease type brochures – “Understanding…” • Demographic specific – “Children and Adolescents” • NAMI National brochures and posters (purchase from NAMI National – www.nami.org) • Program brochures and posters • Disease type brochures
