WP18 Overview • Main objective: A structured interaction with Users • Expression of user needs: Manage / update User Requirements Documents (URDs) • Provision of feedback on MyOcean service and products by: • integrating core products into existing national/European operational systems & procedures • assessing the impact of this integration • 2 categories of users: • Reference Intermediate Users (RIU: 28 national agencies, plus ECMWF). Direct participation to the project. Existing experience with OO products : ready to deliver detailed requirements • 7 EU and IG agencies: EEA, EMSA, HELCOM, OSPAR, UNEP/MAP, ICES, (ECMWF). Contributing to the project through “interface” partners.

Structure / Deliverables / Interactions • Four areas of benefit / sub-WPs: • Marine and Coastal Environment (HAB, eutrophication) • Marine Safety (oil spills, ice) • Marine Resources (fisheries) • Climate - Seasonal forecasting • Two types of deliverables: • URDs (with updates) • UARs Assessment reports (with updates) • Interaction with: • WP17 Service Definition • WP16 Service Desk • Board – Core Users Group

WP18 progress • URDs • Deadline was July09 (m4 -16-28) for individual V1 URDs • Collected 31 URDs • (Individual URDs to form the basis for SLAs) • Synthesized to “area of benefit” URDs by Starlab and BC (due Sep09, m6 -18-30) • Contributing to SRR/PCR reviews • Core Users Group • Composition finalized.
