  4. Membership • Membership: the downward trend continued:

CIG Plan 2009-2011 • relevant and accessible opportunities for Continuing Professional Development • development of standards • publication programme to enable practitioners to demonstrate good practice • network/ community of practitioners to which Group members can contribute and from which they can learn • To contribute to CILIP governance arrangements.

  6. Organise a Group conference each year or play a full part in the CILIP Umbrella conference Hold at least two other seminar/ workshop type events in each calendar year Organise at least two visits to organisations of interest to members of the Group in each year. Umbrella RDA Standards Forum Seminars “A. Rose by any other name” Standards event & AGM Visits Chetham’s Library, Manchester, St. Paul’s Cathedral Welcome Institute Bank of England LSE To provide relevant and accessible opportunities for Continuing Professional Development for members of the Group

Where possible repeat all non-conference events in at least two different venues Enable access to tools and resources of interest to members of the profession interested in the areas of the group’s activity. Achieve CILIP Seal of Recognition Standards forum CILIP & Hatfield Links are provided on the CIG website Application made during 2009 (status awarded 2010) To provide relevant and accessible opportunities for Continuing Professional Development for members of the Group

Complete the transition of Catalogue & Index to an e-journal intended to be published four times a year Publish conference papers Monthly block email to members Transition completed; Issues 156; 157 published Umbrella papers A. Rose papers To continue a publication programme to enable practitioners to demonstrate good practice
