As CMO of Prime Healthcare Division I, Dr. Bhatia is responsible for the clinical affairs at the health system's 17 hospitals in California and Nevada. He also serves as CMO of 99-bed Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Hospital and 150-bed Encino (Calif.) Hospital Medical Center, two of Prime Healthcare's acute care community hospitals. He is board certified in four specialties: internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and interventional cardiology. Along with his leadership roles, Dr. Bhatia is involved in several charitable organizations, such as the Uganda HeartProject, which provides cardiac care to children with congenital heart disease.
