The Study Plan links directly to tutorial exercises that match the problems from your text. Get help when you need it: Each MathXL tutorialexercise is accompanied by a guided solution and sample problem, andmultimedia learning aids, such as video lectures and animations.

  3. The Study Plan in MathXL tells you what areas you have mastered and where you need to practice further.

  4. What do you need to register for access to MathXL? 1) A student access code. Here’s an example of a student access code: SMPLE – FRILL – TONLE – WEIRS - CHOIR - FLEES 2) A valid email address. 3) Your school’s zip code: 4) A Course ID (optional, ask your instructor): Here’s an example: XLAB-C1JK-2MNO-0YZ3

  5. Where do you find your MathXL student access code? Included with your NEW text For sale in your bookstore or…purchase immediate access online at www.mathxl.com

  6. To register or purchase access online, follow these steps: 1) Go to: www.mathxl.com 2) Click the Register button if you have your code. If you do not have a code, click Buy Now.

  7. 3) Review the “License Agreement & Privacy Policy” and click I Accept.

  8. 4) Do you already have a Pearson Education account?. • Select “Yes” if you already have a Pearson login / Password from another course. • If this is your first online course from Pearson, select “No” to create a personal login name and password...be sure to write it down!

  9. 5) If you have your new MathXL code, carefully type in the letters using one “word” per box (just use the “tab” key on your keyboard to move from one box to the next). Click Next. 6) Simply follow the online screens to finish your registration.

  10. 6) Once complete, you will see a confirmation screen (this info will also be emailed to you).

  11. Logging in as a Returning User 1) Go to: www.mathxl.com 2) Enter the Log in name and password you created and click Log In. 3) Click

  12. Next, enter your Course ID: Looks like: XLAB-C1JK-2MNO-0YZ3 Enroll in a new Course: • If your instructor has provided a Course ID,select: • " I am taking a course that is using MathXL and need to enroll in my instructor’s course.”

  13. Enroll in a Course: • If your instructor has not set up a course (or you do not have a Course ID), select " I am studying on my own and need to choose a textbook." • NOTE: You will always have the option to “Enroll in a new course” in case you receive the Course ID from your instructor later! Then, Browse or Search for the textbook you are using in your course.

  14. 5) Click the Enroll button and you will be taken to your MathXL welcome page!

  15. Go to www.mathxl.com to Log In or access FAQs, Student Support, and learn more about how MathXL can help you get a better grade! We wish you success in your course!
