  2. CLASS ROUTINES • Do Now/Homework Board: Homework will also be posted daily on the Home Access Center (HAC). • Question of the Day- L.O.L. Joke of the Day: Scientific Thinking Made Fun  Homework is checked for completion and reviewed for understanding. FAV 5!

  3. Student Expectations: ·       Arrive to class on time. ·        Be prepared with science notebook, agenda book, folder, pen/pencil. ·       Complete assignments on time and to the best of your ability. ·       Behave appropriately and respectfully towards all classmates and teachers.      

  4. Students are responsible for making up all work (labs, notes, tests, etc.) missed due to an absence. • While You Were Gone/Study Buddies: Each student has 3 study buddies in order to get information about missed schoolwork. C3PIO! •   *****Students who are absent the day of a test • will make it up on the day they return to class. 

  5. MAKING THE GRADE · HW – 5 points (on time, complete  ·1 day late = 2.5/5 points maximum. ·After 1 day late =  ·  Quiz – 50 points ·  Test – 100 points · Lab Reports – 10 points ·   Projects – 100 points ·        ALL QUIZZES AND TESTS MUST BE CORRECTED

  7. Communication: ·        The best way to contact me is through e-mail at lhoellger@lakelandschools.org. ·        I am available every Monday during Study Hall for extra help. If your child would like to set up another time, please let me know a day or two in advance… ·        Please check HAC (Home Access Center) for daily postings of homework assignments, upcoming tests, quizzes, projects, and events.   Thank you for encouraging your child to achieve!!   I LOVE SCIENCE!!
