  1. Is it necessary to put interests on your resume? Many people are adamantly opposed to this, stating that your job resume and hobbies are two distinct entities that should never be addressed in the same sentence. After all, one is for job searching, while the other is for relaxing. However, this isn't always the case. You might wonder why the HR manager would be interested in your passion for Russian literature from the 18th century. Well, your hobbies and interests area on your resume may truly set you apart from the crowd and add some personality to your CV.

  2. But only if it's done correctly. When you're on the road, why not watch Netflix? Sure, everyone likes it, but does it really set you apart from the crowd? The trick is to incorporate appealing activities that are beneficial to the firm. Something that exhibits distinct personality traits and, hopefully, is also relevant to the job. Because you're still conveying something specific to the hiring manager with them, no matter what your list of hobbies looks like.

  3. How to list Hobbies on your resume? As previously said, your hobbies and interests should be listed towards the bottom of your resume. But how can you make a list of them? How can you know which interests are relevant to that one unique organisation, moreover? You can choose between "Interests" (a safe bet) and "Personal activities" for the real section. "Hobbies" implies a personal interest with no genuine connection to the job, which isn't the case. Begin with the job posting. Most job postings include a list of traits and skills that employers are searching for in applicants.
