  1. What Is Industrial Waste Water Treatment? Water covers about 71% of the earth's surface; it is the fundamental element at which life exists. Since the industrial revolution, these water bodies have been ridiculously polluted, by the discharge of untreated polluted water directly into the rivers, ponds, ocean, and so on. This untreated water causes harm to marine life and us as well, but so far nothing has been solidly done except implementation of industrial waste water treatment. Industrial wastewater treatment describes the processes used for treating sewer water that's created by industries as an associate undesirable by- product. Once the treatment, the treated industrial wastewater (or effluent) is also reused or free to a sanitary sewer or surface water within the atmosphere. Most industries turn out some wastewater. Recent trends are to reduce such production or to recycle treated wastewater among the assembly method. Sources of commercial sewer water embody battery producing, electrical power plants, food trade, iron and industry, mines and quarries, nuclear trade, oil, and gas extraction, organic chemicals producing, rock oil refinement and petrochemicals, pulp and paper trade, smelters, textile mills, industrial oil contamination, water treatment, wood conserving. In most countries, industrialwastewater treatment has been termed mandatory by the governing authority, because otherwise, wastewater causes damage to the environment on a large scale. The treatment process of wastewater contains certain steps as follows- • Brine treatment • Solid removal • Oils and grease removal • Removal of biodegradable organics • Removal of other organics • Removal of acids and alkalis • Removal of toxic material After all these processes, the treated water is discharged into the surfaced water body.
