Learn to Protect Yourself from the Harmful Mobile Radiation The mobile phone is a significant device that has become a vital part of our lives and is a one- point of source that connects us to the world. With so many features and functionalities, it has surely made our lives a lot easier and smooth. However, with so many advantages and benefits of mobile phones also come some adverse effects that pose risks to both humans and the environment. We all need to be aware of the fact that cell phones emit radio-frequency energy, so whenever we use the mobile phone, our body absorbs over 50% of the transmitted RF energy. It is no denying a fact that mobile phones bring great convenience to our lives but the expected health consequences of exposure to mobile phone radiation have caught people’s attention and scientific debate. Thus, it is extremely important for all of us to take precautionary steps to protect ourselves by minimizing our exposure to mobile phones radiation. Restraining ourselves from the excessive use of mobile phones and other wireless gadgets is the most viable solution to protect ourselves from the harmful effects of mobile radiation. Nevertheless, in today’s digital life it is somewhat difficult to avoid the use of these devices so the other option that we can opt for is to use radiation protection technology that protects our lives from harmful electromagnetic radiation. Besides, there are some important tips that we can do in our daily life to protect ourselves and limit our exposure to mobile phone radiation:

Avoid phone contact with the body—We should always keep our phone manufacturer’s warning given in the user manual in mind and hence we should avoid using or carrying mobile phones against our body at all times. We should never keep phones in our pockets and should keep the phone at a distance of at least 10mm. Communicate more through Texting— We should more often text to communicate rather than talk because while texting our phone will be farther from the body and the distance creates a larger buffer between us and the field radiation from the phone. Prefer to talk on Speaker— While making a call on mobile phones, we should use the speakerphone or a wired headset. Holding the phone against the head or a call will increase the radiation our head will absorb. Near-field radiation from the phone is more dangerous when the phone is close to our body. Switch off your mobile or put it in airplane mode when not in use— If we do not have to use the phone for a few hours, then we should either switch off or put it on airplane mode. We should regularly do it before going off to sleep. Avoid Using Phone while charging— We should never use the phone while it is on charging mode because radiation while charging is 10 times higher. Avoid Using Phone on Low Battery— We should not use our mobile phones on low batteries because radiation increases when the phone battery is low.
