  1. Symptoms of Throat Cancer Before we talk about the symptoms, it’s important to understand which organs in your throat are classed into the ‘throat category’ and which ones are not. Generally, throat cancer refers to the cancer of the voice box, the vocal cords, the tonsils and oropharynx. Throat cancer is often grouped into two categories: pharyngeal cancer and laryngeal cancer. The former, as the name already suggests, develops in the pharynx. Pharynx is a hollow tube that runs from behind your nose to the top of your windpipe. On the other hand, laryngeal cancer forms in your larynx, more commonly known as the voice box. Depending on the type, there are two different sets of symptoms of throat cancer. However, it’s important to note that early signs of throat cancer are hard to read. Some of the most common symptoms include the following: Symptoms of Pharyngeal Throat Cancer  A lump in the upper part of the neck  Pain in different areas of the face  Difficulty in hearing, usually due to a persistent ringing sound in the ears  Swelling of the neck  Headaches Symptoms of Laryngeal Throat Cancer  Trouble in swallowing food  Weight loss  Swollen lymph nodes  Hoarseness in the voice  Sore Throat Fortunately, throat cancer is a very uncommon type of cancer and less than 0.3 percent people are diagnosed with it in their lifetime. Also, unlike other, more serious forms of cancer, throat cancer is very much treatable. ENT Speciality Group delivers guaranteed throat cancer treatment in Montreal.
