NAMES AND TITLES OF DEITY
Silver Star Bible School - 2005
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that The everlasting Elohim, YHWH, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
For thus saith YHWH that created the heavens; Elohim himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am YHWH; and there is none else.
I am YHWH, and there is none else, there is no Elohim beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am YHWH, and there is none else.
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I YHWH do all these things.
I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: Ye that make mention of YHWH, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
For thus saith The high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Ah Adonay YHWH! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: The Great, the El Gibbowr, YHWH Tsaba, is his name, Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:
And I prayed unto the YHWH my Elohim, and made my confession, and said, O Adonay, the great and dreadful El, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
Art thou not from everlasting, O YHWH my Elohim , mine Holy One? we shall not die. O YHWH, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O Tzur, thou hast established them for correction. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
Praise ye YHWH. Praise, O ye servants of YHWH, praise the name of YHWH. Blessed be the name of YHWH from this time forth and for evermore. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same YHWH’s name is to be praised. YHWH is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. Who is like unto YHWH our Elohim, who dwelleth on high, Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
1 Chron 29:10-13
Wherefore David blessed YHWH before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, YHWH Elohim of Israel our father, for ever and ever. Thine, O YHWH, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O YHWH, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our Elohim, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
1 Chron 16:24-31
Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations. For great is YHWH, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all elohim. For all the elohim of the people are idols: but YHWH made the heavens. Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. Give unto YHWH, ye kindreds of the people, give unto YHWH glory and strength. Give unto YHWH the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship YHWH in the beauty of holiness. Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, YHWH reigneth.
1 Kings 18:36
And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, YHWH Elohim of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art Elohimin Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
2 Sam 22:2-4
And he said, YHWH is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; The Elohim of my Tzur; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. I will call on YHWH, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
For YHWH your Elohim is Elohim of Elohim, and Adonay of Adon, a great El, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
Hear, O Israel: YHWH our Elohim is one YHWH: And thou shalt love the YHWH thy Elohim with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
For I am the YHWH your Elohim: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. For I am YHWH that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your Elohim: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
And YHWH descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of YHWH. And YHWH passed by before him, and proclaimed, YHWH, YHWH El, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the Elyown El. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the Elyown El, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the Elyown El, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
Except the Elohim of my father, the Elohim of Abraham, and the Pachad of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. Elohim hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.
