Content Area: Spanish (Year one) • Grade Level: 9th grade • Summary: The purpose of this instructional Powerpoint is to memorize the names of animals in Spanish. • Learning Objective: Given websites to review animals in Spanish, students will take a quiz and answer all questions with 100% accuracy. • Content Standard: Communicate in a Language Other Than English • Accomplishment: Use vocabulary for a wide range of topics (e.g., animals, weather, geographical concepts; categories such as numbers, shapes, colors, size).

Instruction • Go to this website http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKa7QZqhmHw and watch the firstsection on Marine animals(about 1 minute and 28 seconds of the video). • The firsttimeyouwatch the video, listen to the pronounciation in Spanish of the animalsbeingshown. Then, watch the video again and review the Spanish names of the animals. • Whenyouaredonewatching the video, press the arrowat the bottom of thisscreen and take a small quiz to test yourmemorization (Ifyouneed to, review the video as manytimes as youwouldlikebeforetaking the quiz).
