Who am I? • 7th year Teaching at Timber Ridge • Previously taught Math and Language Arts 6th,7th, 8th grade • Experience in grades 1-12 • Education: Bachelor of Science from NIU, Master of Arts and Teaching Aurora University, Currently a doctoral student in Curriculum and Leadership through NIU. • Wife • Mom • Grandmother

  4. Teaching Style • Student centered activities • Laboratory environment • Focus on Content acquisition • Teach to students learning style • Teach to students reading levels

  5. How can you help? • Have your children read SOMETHING for 20 minutes a day. • Reinforce behavior expectations at home. • Help your child build their confidence in reading by talking about what they are doing in school. • Make sure they are getting breakfast and enough sleep.
