Service Disconnections • PGE’s average balance prior to service disconnection is higher than other IOU’s due to: • PG&E services both gas and electric commodities • PG&E has offered flexible pay plans to allow more customers to qualify for a pay plan • PG&E has experienced a dramatic increase in the average length of pay plans • PG&E has seen an increase in broken pay plans which results in customers accruing more debt before disconnect • PG&E has scaled back the volume of disconnects to meet the intent of the Disconnect OIR • PG&E currently has a lengthy disconnection timeline

  3. Process of Service Disconnection *The notice allows a tenant to apply for new service and take responsibility for new charges. They are not responsible for old charges. Note: Bank-owned properties are not separately tracked
