Topic to talk about- Setting Click to add text • Post apocalyptic setting • The orange lighting with smoke is prominent • Sense of dystopia • Feeling og being hot, stuffy, trapped • The prominent light is also controlling how much the audience see- creates an unsettling atmosphere  • Neutral color scheme- loss of color- loss of life

Character- Butcher  • Dirty clothes- adds to the dirty, tocix, suffocating... makes audience uncomfortable.  • Butchers are meant to be hygienic- the dirty clothes suggest he is not.  • Sharepening a knife continuously= Dangerous action  • The digetic noise builds tension- its constant giving the audience a sense of no escaping • It’s a threat • Loud sound effects contrast to how quiet the victm is trying to be

C,E,S,M • Lots of underground tunnel shots- theme of hiding, being out of sight • Pipes add to the dirt and unhygienicness • In the background the sound of knives sharepning sound far away- suggests man is hidden far away • Audience is constantly reminded of the noise • Victim-  • Close ups- worried looks- keeps tension high and creates sense of urgency as he is trapped  • Adds to the depth of narrative, audience want to know why us he worried, trapped...

C,E,S,M • Constantly cross cutting between the two secenes- shows the link  • Shows its happening at the same time • Makes the audience nervous for the victim- ask questions like "will he be caught, when..." • Sesne of urgency, running out of time. • In terms of editing, transitions from shot to shot are dissolves-  • Slows the pace of the scene down  • Creates tension • Slow burn effect makes audience unsettled

C,E,S,M  • Camera-  • There is the use of a fisheye lense- creates a sense of warped vision. • Pov shots and low angles- places the butcher in power and superiority and makes the victm vulnerable. POV- audience is looking through victims eyes, makes them sympathise more  • Extreme close ups- unsettling for the audience, not only do they see the characters unsettled facial expressions but it also creates a sense of clostrophobia as if they are trapped too. Power, superior... Eyes- fear, unsettling for the audience, claustrophobic …..
