Energy proposal • Survey companies to identify policy-driven market development opportunities for specific semiconductor products. • Produce detailed proposal for company approval on policy opportunities, including: • Energy Dept standards and EPA regulations that drive product adoption • Federal and State tax incentives (including utility incentives) • Federal and state government procurement • In parallel, higher level ACEEE study would • aggregate data and quantify the potential cost savings and environmental benefits associated with specific semiconductor applications. • Audiences: policy makers, media, wall street • Cost up to $75K from reserves. • Detailed review of policies and higher level ACEEE study would be used to develop messaging that would be used to accomplish the policy objectives. -2- CONFIDENTIAL - SIA Board Meeting – November 14, 2007 – San Jose, CA - CONFIDENTIAL 1
