The PREM Alliance between the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao and Petra Mercado High School impacted over 800 students, with 63% women, from 2009-2012. Eleven students, seven of whom were women, engaged in research with UPRH faculty and nine continued as undergraduates. Five students, including three women, presented at national research conferences. Activities included curricular enhancement, seminars, research forums, and travel to conferences.
