Introduction • Ever since the first football game was played in 1869 the sport of football has been know as one of the most violent sports played. • 1917 marked the first time helmets were raised above the head. • Concussion numbers rise throughout all levels of football pressure football helmet developers.

  3. Concussion: What are they? And how are they caused? • A concussion results from any sort of force that causes a big movement of the brain. • This movement or “jarring” of the brain causes one to become unconscious. • There are numerous symptoms that result from a concussion some more severe then others.
