Purpose: Identify changes in workforce over the next 5

years and plan to meet training needs

Respondents: Program Directors

Results:

Q 1: Changes in Workforce

  • Very significant turnover (35-75%) over 5 years

  • Most programs will stay the same size

  • Trend is slight decrease in program size

  • Exception: OSM technical offices

    Training Needs:

  • Inspection, Permitting, Bonding, Remote Sensing, Electronic Permitting
