King Jordan Deaf, Psychology professor… Dean at Gallaudet, Well respected in Deaf Community • Elizabeth Zinser Hearing, Chancellor NC State, Wants to learn signs, Unknown in Deaf Community

  5. Sunday Night March 6, 1988- Mayflower HotelWashington, DC • And the winner is…….. • Gallaudet finally has its first…… • Woman President !!!!!!!

  16. Wednesday, March 9, 1988 • The Faculty and Staff vote to support the students—jeopardizing their own jobs • “Nightline” tries to resolve the issues with guests- Dr. Zinser, student leader-Greg Hlibok, • and actress- Marlee Matlin

  17. Thursday March 10 • I. King Jordan retracted his support for the Board's decision to appoint Elisabeth Zinser. He told the onlookers that he now fully supported the four demands set forth by the students, and felt the protest was completely justified. • (Show video ) • Dr. Zinser is …where????
