  15. Color blindness The individual with normal color vision will see a “5” revealed in the dot pattern. An individual with Red/Green (the most common) color blindness will see a “2” revealed in the dots.

Web accessibility • Guidelines, endorsed by W3C, available since 1999:WCAG1.0 • problems: • not very clear • some aspects not machine testable • WCAG2.0 : ballot is ongoing • W3C Guidelines have been accepted in many European countries; however national variants have come up as W3C is not a formal standardisation body • European research on accessibility testing and certification is ongoing.

  31. Accessible PDF from Microsoft? • Office 2007 applications will probably generate PDF directly • Beta-versions do not produce accessible PDF despite claims that PDF/A output is generated • Maybe there will be no PDF output at all...
