Read tutorial 2 for additional information. • Print out resource 2b and use it to plan the structure of your band website • Idea how to use page layout - Look at slides 9 -17 resource 2c. • Print out and sketch your initial idea for the page layout of your website – resource 2d. Starter Activity : 5 mins Look at the colour on each slide of this presentation and hands up or down to indicate which colour you like and give reason/s. KS3 Scheme of Work

The Task PLTS and Key word Generate ideas and explore possibilities For additional support try – Tutorial 4 step 4.1 – 4.7 • Overview of Dreamweaver i.e. adding background colour, text style & size, preview in browser etc – open folder (band) created in previous lesson. • In Dreamweaver create a page name it: Index or home – watch video clip below to help you. http://www.teach-ict.net/software/dreamweaver/setting%20up/homepage.html • Look at resource 2d done in lesson 2 and add the name of the band and other information to your homepage. Extension activity: try adding an image from the shared resources/IT/KS3/images KS3 Scheme of Work

Lesson 5 PLTS and Key word Generate ideas and explore possibilities Learning Objectives • Create more pages for a website • Add links to other page to the website HOTS Why images for web use should not be too big? Starter Activity : 10 mins Print out the following activity and in pairs students find the missing words. teacher sheet (check students’ response) KS3 Scheme of Work

The Task PLTS and Key word Generate ideas and explore possibilities For additional support try – Tutorial 5 step 5.1 – 5.6 • Overview of Dreamweaver – adding more pages by using save as to duplicate homepage layout. • Demonstrate how to insert image/s from the shared resources/IT/KS3/images to their new pages. • Add appropriate text to the pages you have created. Keep page consistent i.e. font size, style, colour etc. Extension activity: add links from the homepage the other pages KS3 Scheme of Work

Will fan be able to find information? • Use of colour - (background & text) • Images - (clear & appropriate size) • Content – does it fulfil its purpose? Is it suitable for the target audience?
