Multi-modal International Passenger and Cargo Hub Airport –The MIHAN Project • Being developed by the State Govt. in co-ordination with Govt. of India • TEFS – by consortium of International consultant lead by L&T Ramboll, Zurich Airport, others • Estimated project cost Rs. 3,150 Crores for Airport • GoM provided Rs. 115 Crores • Investment around Rs. 5,000 Crores in SEZ • SEZ and Airport are complementary.

Employment Opportunities • Minimum jobs by HCL - 10,000. • IT industries like TCS, Wipro, HCL and Satyam will be competing with each other for generating more and more employment by setting up IT centre's & BPO’s in SEZ. • About 5,000 in Cargo & Baggage handling, Counters, Cleaners etc. • Ancillary jobs - Rail & Road Terminal. • Hospital city - about 5,000 persons.

Employment Opportunities • Hotels - about 20,000. • Restaurant, Eateries - about 3,000 persons • Increase in requirement for florist, washer-men, laundrymen etc. • Will increase the demand for raw materials suppliers and products like grains, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, Poultry, etc. • 150 saloons/beauty parlours will create jobs for 3,000 persons.

Employment Opportunities • A demand for new Vehicles showrooms, new Vehicles dealerships and garages to maintain them will be generated. • Increase in requirement for tailoring shops (both ladies and gents) • About 10 Crore sq. ft. construction in MIHAN SEZ (processing and non-processing zones) itself will require thousands of carpenters, masons, workers, Electrician, plumbers, painters, A.C. mechanics, etc.

MADC has to Offer….? • MADC is ready to offer part finance to youngsters, especially the Project affected people, who will like to do some technical and professional courses. • They will be guaranteed employment for a minimum of one year and after that they will be free to take up jobs anywhere.
