This study shows a significant decrease in central fatigue in multiple sclerosis patients after 8 weeks of surface functional electrical stimulation (FES) training, as indicated by normalized maximum voluntary contraction, voluntary activation level, and twitch force. The General Fatigue Index, Central Fatigue Index, and Peripheral Fatigue Index were also measured.
