  3. Peer Tutoring • Drop-in • Mon-Thurs 8:30-5:30 • Friday 8:30-noon • All 1000 & 2000 courses in • Bio, Chem, Math and Physics • Geology by appointment only • Tues, Thurs, Sun evenings • Library • Math-Ed • Engineering • Statistics FREE No appointment necessary

  4. Center Usage • Daytime and evening hours • ~1500 student-visits per week • ~30 undergraduate student tutors • Collectively work ~200 hours/week • Summer • ~500 student-visits per week

Facilitated Study Groups • Lead by a peer facilitator who has taken the course successfully • Emphasizes students teaching and learning from each other • Most 1000 & 2000 level Math & Science courses • Members are asked to attend regularly and participate actively • Small groups up to 10 students • Meet weekly for one hour

Why Join? • The students will represent UNO STEM as ambassadors on campus and in the Omaha community. • The group is not exclusive to women and welcomes all undergraduate and graduate students. • Students can introduce an awareness of the STEM areas at UNO with female STEM star speakers, science fairs, and gaining connections through the Omaha community. • Students can get involved in the Omaha community through high schools, hosting workshops and experiments, and community service. • WiSTEM will also provide support for its members with scholarships, internship and convention information.

  11. Fall Meet-and-Greet • September 7th from 12:00-2:00pm • MBSC main ballroom • Meet affiliated colleges, departments, and Omaha professionals • Includes lunch • Prize drawing for those who RSVP
