Space perception:Using the body to perceive the environment Jeanine Stefanucci • Research question: How does the size and embodiment of a visual, virtual body influence space perception? • Affordance measures: Potential actions that can be carried out within the environment. • Participants are asked to judge, if they can fit through an aperture when seeing a virtual body with different sizes.

Body perception I:The perception of the physical body Aurelie Saulton • Research question: How do we perceive information about our body size and shape? • Pointing task: Point towards the felt location of the tip and knuckles of the fingers while hand is hidden. • Hand shape resulting from pointing task does not correspond to the shape of the physical hand. • Experiments on studieswiththepointingtask on theperceptionof a full (virtual) body.

Body perception II:The perception of a virtual body as oneself Ivelina Pryslopska • Research question: When do we notice that the dimensions of our body have been changed? • After watching a virtual body being simultaneously touched with their physical body individuals report to experience the virtual body as if it was their own body. • Experiments on theexperience of ownership over a virtual body with different volumes.

Multisensoryself-perception Martin Dobricki • Research question: Howistheexperienceofbeing ‘oneself’ generatedwithinmultisensoryperception? • Approach: Virtual body can be moved with the physical body as if it was the own body. Virtual body is on a distance or co-located with the physical body. • Psychophysical measurement of experiencing ownership over a virtual body on self-perception.
