Good Health Sub Group - update

The Good Health Subgroup is a collaborative effort among various healthcare providers and users aimed at enhancing healthcare fairness and accessibility. Our vision includes sharing strategies, working collectively, and addressing inequalities in healthcare delivery. Recent updates include new governance rules, annual elections for leadership roles, and increased engagement with individuals unable to attend meetings. Key focuses involve executing the PCT self-assessment action plan, boosting participation in national screening programs, and ensuring everyone has access to personal health profiles and actionable health information.

  1. Good Health Sub Group - update Maz Marsham

  2. What is the Good health subgroup ? Group for all the different people who provide and use healthcare services. The Big Idea is to make things better by: • sharing plans • working together • tackling things which make healthcare unfair.

  3. We check up on what is happening. • We respond to new plans and guidance from the government about making healthcare better. • Let everyone know what is happening

  4. Since last year…….. • New rules about how we run the group • Vote for chairperson and co chair each year • Getting the right people at the meeting • More involvement with people who can’t come to meetings. • Agree action plan.

  5. The main issues are: • Doing the things in the PCT self assessmentaction plan (working with PALS, feedback from PRUH users) • Checking how others are getting on with their actions (NHS campus closure, Personal health profiles and health checks, information about the health of people in Bromley)

  6. Following the recommendations from the health needs assessment. • Work together to increase the number of people taking up national screening programmes. • To make information about staying healthy accessible.

  7. Health action plans and Personal health profiles • Making sure everyone who wants one, has one. • Making sure they are done well. • Making sure they make a difference to your health. • Helping GP’s who join the scheme
