  4. Intonation Monopoly • Play with a group of 3 or 4 • Practice Intonation in tag questions

  5. Linking • Link the words in each phrase together. Can you hear other words within the same phrase? Practice with a partner. • Missed her • Spear it • Plan it • Sees an apple • Four in jail • Past or present

  6. Linking • Words/Phrases that sound the same, but look different and have different meaning • Missed her --> mister • Spear it --> spirit • Plan it --> planet • Sees an apple --> Season apple • Four in jail --> Foreign jail • Past or present --> Pastor present

  7. Reduced Speech • “I don't know when they'll get here.” • “I want to visit India.” • “I'm going to learn to knit.”
