    4. Strategy Work organized under: Working Group I: focus on harmonization between accounting and statistical guidelines (chaired by IPSASB). Working Group II: focus on update of SNA 1993, notably on five issues, and a chapter on government and public sector (chaired by OECD).

Conclusion Drivers for further convergence between accounting and statistical standards: recent past developments in accounting, finance and statistics provide opportunity for further convergence and harmonization. the need of comparable data across countries, and details to link the micro-unit and the macro-aggregates favour convergence. calls to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of statistical production, notably by streamlining the statistical process and limiting respondent burden of the source data providers.
