Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) • Business Approach of Corporates to sustainable development of society • Philanthropic Approach by Corporates • Government of India - Scheme from April 2014 • The CSR provision is applicable to Companies with: • annual turnover of > INR 1,000 crs • or a net worth of > INR 500 crs • or a net profit of > INR 5 crs • Such Companies must spend at least 2% of average Net Profits during 3 immediately preceding years on CSR

CSR Activities • Eradicating hunger, poverty, child mortality, HIV, immune deficiency syndrome, malaria and other diseases, improving maternal health • Promotion of education, gender equality and empowering women • Environmental Protection • Welfare of the SC / ST, other backward classes • And additionally, PM’s National Relief Fund RFI have accepted these endeavours under CSR policy** ** Please see next slide

  7. Rotary Fund India (RFI)& CSR • RFI will accept CSR funds for use in GG in any of Rotary’s areas of focus: • Promote peace • Fight disease • Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene • Save mothers and children • Support education • Grow local economies

Activities of CSR District Team 1/2… • Identify potential large size Corporates for District & Promote CSR projects via Foundation • Finalise list of projects & assignments by the Clubs / District, & set targets for each CSR District Director • Facilitate Explanation on procedures & operations of CSR / projects to the Clubs / prospective donors • Ensure proper MOUs being signed by the Clubs • Coordinate with RFI (Foundation) for the Clubs • Check status of projects & support implementation

  24. Activities of CSR District Team 2/2… • Review financial arrangements • Ensure Compliance • Periodic Reporting to DG / DCC / DS • Facilitate new projects to cover more number of Clubs • Guide the Clubs on Documentation Process & Compliance • Identify AKS potentials from the Donors etc. etc. …

Starter Schedule (3 Months) -end July 2019 Cont’d… • First meeting of Avenue Chairs & CSR Committee Directors, followed by Monthly Meetings • Presentation & Awareness • Exchange of Ideas & Brain Storming • Compiling list of CSR Club Presidents / CSR Director or assigned member of each Club • Allocation of Clubs to each Director • Scanning of available Corporate data & shortlisting of Corporates (Accessibility / Contacts) for large size projects • Meeting with AG, Club Presidents, CSR Directors or Lead Rotary Member

Starter Schedule (3 Months) end July 2019 Cont’d… • Meetings with shortlisted Corporates (along with corresponding Avenue Chair, CSR Committee Director & Lead co-ordinator from Clubs – Ongoing process) • Communication to all Clubs AG’s, Presidents & Club CSR Directors / Lead Member & follow up • Monthly Reports from each CSR Club Director / Lead member • Assist Clubs for identifying their own CSR projects & shortlisting • Pursue large size District level multi-clubs projects
