Restorative Justice Website Thomas E. Wesley, M.A. Candidate 2012 Home Page RSVP Page Introduction As part of our marketing strategy, the Restorative Justice Committee decided that a website was extremely important. Since I have basic website development knowledge, I had several goals for this project: Easy to navigate; Longevity in maintenance (allowing others without design experience to change objects, text, etc.); Supportive of the Michigan State University design. I implemented the use of Wordpress blogging software and took advantage of a theme designed by the University’s technical staff. Links Blog Page Media and Forms Videos: With the growing use of social media, the videos posted on the website use Youtube to host them. Youtube provides a simple way to upload, share, and embed videos online. Pictures/Resources: Wordpress allows for media to be uploaded and posted into the blogging software, creating an easy format for anyone to update resource pages. Forms: The RSVP form for the RJ Symposium takes advantage of Google Documents. Google Docs allows for a user to type in the required questions. When a visitor plugs in their information, Google Docs exports a spreadsheet with all of the information.
