  2. Transportation plays a very important role in the urbanization of any city. Singapore offers a wide array of public transportation. The three main modes of public transport in Singapore are the Masse Rapid Transit, Buses and Taxis.

  4. Main Transport in Singapore - Buses - Taxi - Mass Rapide Transit (MRT)

  5. Buses: The vast majority of the bus services are operated by SBS Transit and SMRT Buses. The SBS Transit is Singapore’s major public bus service operator. The SMRT Bus runs buses in the northern parts of Singapore.

Taxis • Taxi also known as Taxicabs are Singapore’s private transport. • There are 8 types of taxis companies in SG. • Taxi fares in Singapore is quite reasonable. • Fares are charged by the taxi meter. • Taking a taxi is Singapore is very safe. • All taxi drivers speak English and their ethnic mother tongue language.

  7. Mass Rapide Transit MRT system is probably the fastest way to get around Singapore besides taxis. MRT was created in 1987. It has 106 stations with 153.2 km of lines in operation.
