Requirements • NO mandatory district assessments • Each school must determine what assessments they want to administer • Interim Benchmark Assessments (IBMs) • Available September 8, 2011 • Administrator or Teacher-Created Tests • Created from test banks any time • NO Testing Window • Each school must determine when they want to administer these tests. • It is a school-based decision • NO set number of assessments to administer • Each school center must determine how many assessments they want to administer.

What’s New • Student responses • The Progress Monitoring and Reporting Network (PMRN) http://pmrn.fcrr.org will be the data management system for submitting all observations/scores from the FLKRS. • This includes the scores from the Early Childhood Observation (ECHOS™) and the Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading (FAIR). • No Student Response Folders. • Manuals for teachers must be copied or downloaded from: • http://www.pmrn.fcrr.org/pmrn/flkrs/index.shtm

At the Conclusion of the Assessment • Collect and account for administration manuals and reusable screening materials from the examiners. • Store reusable materials in a secure location for use with future FLKRS administrations. • Dispose of administration manuals so they cannot be used in future administrations.

Test Administration - Elementary • Administration Window • August 29 – September 2, 2011 • Mandatory at all schools • Reading at grades 3 – 6 ** • Math at grades 3 – 6 ** • Science at grades 3 – 6 ** • Answer Document Return Date • September 2, 2011 by 4:00 pm • Glades area schools will be picked up beginning in the morning. **Elementary Schools with Grade 6 may use the elementary or secondary diagnostic window.

Test Administration - Secondary • Administration Window • September 16 –27, 2011 • Students Tested • Reading at grades 6 – 10, Retakes (SSS and 2.0) • Mathematics at grades 6 – 8 , Retakes (SSS) • Science at grades 6 – 8 • EOC Algebra 1, Geometry and Biology 1 • Any student currently enrolled in a course • Mandatory at all schools • Answer Document Return Date • Tuesday September 27, 2011 by 4:00 pm* • Glades area schools will be picked up beginning in the morning.

Test Administrations • Recommended testing times for all tests is 90 minutes • Pregridded answer sheets • Elementary Schools: alphabetical by home room (fall administration only) • Secondary Schools: deadline for selecting sort options is 12:00 pm on August 31, 2011. • Any schools that do not submit a sort option will receive their answer sheet sorted alphabetical by grade level.

  39. Answer Sheets • Color coded for each test. • Answer sheets that are preidentified for a student CANNOT be used for another student. • The Student Name and Student Number bubbles on a non-pregridded answer document MUST be darkened.

  41. Non Pre-Identified Answer Document Hand write & bubble 8 digit Student Number (no 50 - no ss#) Hand write & bubble Student Name Must be bubbled accurately and filled in completely!!!!

  42. Returning Answer Documents • Return only To Be Scored answer documents. • Make sure all answer documents are facing the same direction. • Do NOT paper band, paper clip or rubber band answer documents. • Transcribe answers and information from torn answer or badly damaged sheets to new answer sheet. • Transcribe answers from large print or Braille tests • Grade levels and subjects can be mixed and returned in the same box.
