University Policies Code of Student Responsibility- University Policy 406- Applies to every student who has accepted admission- Governs student behavioral conduct inside and outside of classroom- Can be applied to off campus behavior- Overseen by Office of Student Conduct- Behaviors reported via online submission: * incidentreport.uncc.edu * by University Police, faculty, staff, other students- Attorney/Non-Attorney Advocate rights- Records protected by FERPA

Code of Student Responsibility- If a student has displayed behavior you suspect is a violation: * contact our office to discuss; and/or * submit online incident report incidentreport.uncc.edu- If the behavior is an immediate threat, call Campus Police at 704-687-2200- A staff member from the Dean of Students Office may contact you for additional information about the incident- Based upon information gathered, we will determine if a violation occurred and how to proceed- Educational conversation vs. conduct

University Policies Code of Academic Integrity- University Policy 407- Governs academic coursework- Overseen by Academic Affairs *Dr. Rick Lejk, Chair of Academic Integrity Board- Record keeping maintained by Dean of Students Office (DSO) *faculty contact DSO to inquire about priors- Adjudication options: * Settlement Form * Academic Integrity Board

Code of Academic Integrity- If you suspect a student has committed a violation: * call the Dean of Students Office for prior history- If no prior, and penalty is less than FX, SU or EX * proceed with offer of a Settlement Form * one per student for entire academic career! * student must sign in agreement * student can request AI Board- If prior, or penalty sought is FX, SU or EX * refer to Dr. Lejk for AI Board * faculty member will be required to provide information in front of the Board

Campus Behavioral Intervention Team- “Niner Care Team”- Multi-divisional committee to address behaviors of concern and develop intervention plans*Dean of Students Office *Legal Affairs*Police and Public Safety *Counseling Center*Human Resources *Academic Affairs- Involuntary Protective Withdrawal Policy- Report an incident via incidentreport.uncc.eduor calling Dean of Students or PPS-Website resource: https://ninercare.uncc.edu

Campus Behavioral Intervention Team- Options if a student is exhibiting behaviors that are concerning to you: * Call the Dean of Students Office to consult * Call the Counseling Center to consult *Report an incident via incidentreport.uncc.edu * If an immediate threat call Campus Police- A Dean of Students staff member will reach out to you for further information and determine how to proceed
