Introduction to WPC Approval The WPC Approval (Wireless Planning and Coordination) is the wing of India’s Department of Telecommunications (DoT)/ Ministry Communication created in 1952, is The National Radio Regulatory Authority in charge of frequency spectrum management and licensing for electronic and IT products while fulfilling the requirement of the wireless technology users. Products with radio and/or wireless and Bluetooth functionalities imported or manufactured in India will need to have an equipment type approval (ETA)/WPC Approval certificate from the Wireless Planning and Coordination (WPC).
