  2. Find the Power Point Icon on the dock or go to Finder and search for Power Point • Double click on the icon • Write the title : Example: Why Schools Should Not Require School Uniforms • Write your name in the subtitle box Example By Ann Stiles OPEN POWERPOINT AND SAVE

  3. Save your work • Go to File • Scroll down to “Save as” • Under Save as write: ________(your name) Essay (Example: AnnEssay) • Under Where make sure it is on documents • Click “Save” SAVE YOUR WORK

  4. Click on Slide Layouts on the top menu bar. • Select the Layout of the slide that will fit your needs. Slide Layouts

  5. Click on Slide Themes and select a theme. FORMAT YOUR SLIDE

  6. On the menu bar along the top of your document select, “Insert” • Scroll down until you find, “New Slide” • Or Click on “NEW SLIDE” on the top menu bar. INSERTING NEW SLIDES

  7. Try to save your work after each slide • The Shortcut is “command S” or you can go up to “File”, scroll down, then select “Save” SAVE YOUR WORK OFTEN

  8. Minimize yourpowerpoint • Go toAskkids.com on Firefox • Write a description of the picture you want • Select “ Images” • Once you find the picture: hold down the control button; then click on the mouse; choose “copy image” ADDING PICTURES

  9. Minimize Firefox • Maximize your power point document • Click on the slide that you want to add the image to. • Edit, paste or you can hold the “command” button down and the other hand press “V” (to view the picture) ADDING PICTURES continued…
