Women form Suffrage Groups • They formed the Nation Women’s Suffrage Association (NWSA). This was based in New York City.

Susan B. Anthony * * • She was very determined to get her point across . Gave 100% in everything she did and didn’t stop until she did. By Heather
Jobs offered to women • Her first job was a teacher at an all girls school where she later became principal
Women’s rights • Susan B. Anthony and 14 other women registered to vote on November 1, 1872 a week later went to vote and were arrested
“The History of Woman’s suffrage” • Susan B. Anthony strengthened women’s suffrage in 1890.

Sojourner Truth * * • Sojourner was a tall muscular woman with a commanding voice who towered over most men and women. • Men often challenged her femininity and once caused her to bare her breasts in public. By Heather
