  2. A Bit of Facts… • The Ship Sank on April 15th, 1912 • The Official name was: The RMS Titanic • The RMS weighed approx. 45500 tons • The Ship was 53.3 Meters high

  3. A Bit of Facts… (cont.) • The Maximum Capacity of the boat was 3,547 • 14,000 gallons of drinking water used every 24 hours. • First Class= $4,350

  4. The Tragedy • On April 14th, 1912 the ship hit an enormous iceberg and left a gaping hole on the side the ship. • The time between the first sight of the iceberg and the impact was 30 seconds.

  5. The Captain • 43 years of experience at sea. • 32 years served for White Line • Was frozen when the ship cra- shed, and not his usual leading self.

  6. Passenger: Survived • Millvina Dean was only 9 weeks old when she went on board the Titanic. • She lost her father in the collision, however her mother and brother survived. • She was the last living Titanic survivor, but passed in 2009. • She was one of the first on the lifeboats.

  7. Passenger: Passed • Don. Manuel Ramirez Uruchurtu was a first class Mexican lawyer. • After the crash, he was able to get on a lifeboat however, a second class lady pleaded him for his seat, as her husband and child were waiting for her. He quickly offered her his seat only asking for her to visit his wife in Mexico and tell her he loved her.
