  3. Financing • $4.9 million project • $1.3 million in New Markets Tax Credits • Funding from Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s Division of Energy • City of Chicago paid for green roof

  4. Green Features • Solar panels and efficient HVAC and water systems reduce energy use by 50% and water use by 30% • Built on restored Brownfield site • Water-conserving plants and landscaping • Paint, carpet and adhesives use low-volatile organic compounds reduces harmful fumes
