  2. What is “Wiki” ? • Wiki : web application for collaborative work. • One can add, modify or delete content. • Easy to use with no experience needed. • Free for all. • Examples: Wikia, Wikispaces and so on

  3. Types of uses of Wiki made by “Team-F” We used Wikispaces for: • Virtual meeting place. • Discussion • Posting suggestions • Posting ideas after brainstorming • Posting solutions to problems • Reviewing posted content

  4. Discussion on Wikispaces

  5. Adding event: • For scheduling meetings. • Posting deadlines for submission of project deliverables.

  6. Pages and Files: • Upload/download any type of files • Reviewing uploaded files and pages.

  7. Advantages towards use of Wiki • All work at one place. • Free to use. • Effective way to communicate with team members. • Provides adequate amount(2 GB) of storage space. • Deleted files can be restored at any point of time.

  8. Email notifications for scheduled events. • Start and stop monitoring discussions(as in email notifications). • Permissions: Public, Private, Protected and Custom.

  9. Disadvantages towards use of Wiki • Structurally hazy. • Moderate Graphical representation. • Requires an internet connection. • No notification on addition of new file/pages. • Files cannot be viewed or modified online.
